The Concrete jungle

How many courses get the chance to go to New York, not many. Well we did and i have never been more enticed my a city in my whole life! At first i was slightly nervous i had been before but i was a small child with my cousins hand to hold on to, now i am an 'adult' with no ones hand to hold to except my friends if they let me :)! We had a scare at one point because we thought that are flight may be cancelled because of British Airways going on strike, luckily it wasnt and in no time we were on our way to the Big Apple! There were a few hiccups on the way, such as a group of 11 of us going out for a sly smoke and almost not being able to get back through the security! That was quite funny and slightly embarrassing at the same time! But despite the hiccups and the uncomfortable plane journey we got to New York safe! We got our luggage and immediately got on a coach with a guy that gave us a little tour of New York i was completely in love the moment i stepped off the plane!! Even the road signs caught my eye and made me love the place even more!! We were supposed to be staying in the New Yorker, instead we rolled up outside a Holiday Inn, at first everyone was annoyed but once we realised the time we all decided that it was better than sleeping on the side of the road. The rooms turned out to be really nice and the beds were very comfortable!! We went around New york on the tuesday, it was badly raining so we all decided to buy umbrellas which didnt really work the way that they are supposed to! we done most of our site seeing on the tuesday and went to the Guggenheim and ground zero which was so touching! We then got the chance to go to different advertisement agencies, DDB and MCann Erikson both of the agencies were amazing but DDB seemed more relaxed and more fun! We got the chance to talk to some of the creatives and they were so enthusiastic about everything we had to say, it was the cherry on top of the cake for my New York experience, at this moment i knew i wanted to be a 'New Yorker' i have never felt a love for a city like i did for New York, I didnt feel like i was a tourist i felt like this was were i am supposed to be!! Now all I have to do is bang doors down and make contacts to get myself in there! Although it may sound over the top i have never been overwhelmed with sadness when i leave somewhere that is not my home, but i was! I have been there, I have got the T-shirt and all i want is more!
